🏆❄️ BATTLE OF THE LODGES 2026 IS ON! ❄️🏆
The Whakapapa Snowman Cup is back, and SERAC Ski Club is calling on our fellow mountain lodges to round up their crews and join us for a bit of friendly competition in the snow! ⛄️
Last year was epic, full of fun and laughs, even in blizzardy conditions! 😂❄️ The question is… which lodge will take home the cup in 2026? 👀🏆
Get creative, get a little competitive and most importantly, have some fun!
Bring your shovels, decorations and your A game. We’ll supply the snow! 😂❄️
📅 Saturday 22nd August
⏰ 3:45pm check-in | 4pm start
📍 Meet at the back of SERAC Ski Club
👨👩👧👦 Up to 8 people per snowman
🎟️ $20 per family/team entry
🏆 Awesome prizes up for grabs!
🌨️ And because this is Ruapehu… we’re going ahead snow or storm! A bit of wild mountain weather is all part of the fun. If we’re dealing with a complete whiteout or conditions aren’t safe, we’ll make the call.
Backup day: Sunday 23rd August at 9am.

Serac Alpine Club - Annual Race day
One of the highlights of the Serac calendar is back!
Join us for an afternoon of friendly competition as members of all ages race to see who will be crowned Serac's Fastest Skier or Snowboarder.
Whether you're chasing the fastest time, racing your kids, or simply cheering everyone on from the sidelines, the annual club races are all about getting together, having fun, and enjoying a great day on the mountain.
